Dinsmore is seeking a Tax Manager at our Cincinnati, OH location who will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns
- Manage property tax, sales tax, and use tax filings and compliance
- Ensure all tax filings are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
- Calculate and manage partners' quarterly nonresident state taxes
- Provide partners with accurate and timely tax information and reports
- Work closely with outside tax preparers to ensure accurate and compliant preparation of tax returns
- Review and provide necessary documentation and information to external tax preparers
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization
- Manage and coordinate tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA certification is required
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of depreciation software preferred
