Position SummaryThe Email Marketing and CRM Manager at Canyon Bicycles USA plays a pivotal role in driving day-to-day customer engagement and revenue growth through email and SMS channels. A member of the US digital team, the Email Marketing & CRM Manager serves as the in-house expert on email platform management (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), plays a key role in shaping and executing email strategies, and collaborates across teams to ensure local operations are aligned with global strategy while optimizing for US commercial targets.
At its core, this position is responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive email marketing calendar, and constructing and executing email campaigns with compelling copy, appealing graphics, and precise customer segmentation. The manager will maintain detailed performance reports on various time scales, measuring the commercial and brand impact of email and SMS channels, and communicating insights and opportunities for optimization to leadership. Additionally, collaborating with the global CRM team, the Email Marketing & CRM Manager will project manage the development of customer journeys and automated workflows to enhance the customer experience.
Essential Job Functions- Ideation and creation of newsletter emails and strategy: Develop and implement creative and effective email newsletter strategies, including content ideation, layout design, and engagement tactics to enhance customer interaction and retention.
- Building out calendars on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, : Plan and maintain comprehensive email marketing calendars, ensuring timely execution of campaigns against commercial objectives. Reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis: Generate and analyze detailed reports on email marketing performance, tracking key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and overall campaign effectiveness on various time scales.
- Revenue forecasting and pacing analysis for the channel: Conduct revenue forecasting to predict the financial impact of email marketing campaigns and perform pacing analysis to ensure revenue targets are met and optimized over time.
- Consult with the global CRM on journeys and automations: Collaborate with the global Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team to design and implement customer journeys and automated workflows that enhance customer experience and drive engagement.
- Day-to-day management of email campaigns: Oversee the daily operations of email campaigns, from creation and scheduling to deployment and performance monitoring, ensuring all campaigns run smoothly and effectively.
- Roll out rigorous A/B testing: Implement and manage A/B testing protocols to continuously optimize email content, design, and segmentation strategies, using data-driven insights to improve campaign performance.
- Ownership of campaign and channel performance: Take full responsibility for the success of email marketing campaigns and overall channel performance, ensuring all objectives and KPIs are met or exceeded through strategic planning and execution.
- Automations: Use technology to automate tasks like trigger-based emails, personalized content, and A/B testing to optimize campaigns.
Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements- BA degree in business, marketing, and communications or equivalent job equivalence.
- Demonstrative working knowledge and application of HTML, CSS, and enterprise email programs including audience building and segmentation, email creation, and sending
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience through education or on the job training
