JOB DESCRIPTIONAs the manager of Data Infrastructure DevOps team, you will be integral in envisioning, implementing, and evangelizing new features, pipelines, and building DevOps Pipelines. You will be assisting with defining and maintaining a roadmap for the DevOps team aligned with the company's tech and business objectives. The Manager of DevOps engineering plays a critical role in guiding the DevOps team and ensuring that they effectively implement and manage infrastructure and deployment processes. As a critical leader of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring, and grow a team of DevOps Engineers by providing direction, goals, and performance feedback. Drive the automation of software development, testing, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency. You will have the opportunity to Develop and enforce best practices for version control, configuration management, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience with professional experience on a data engineering team or in a similar role
- Expert knowledge of Cloud DevOps Tech Stack and hands on experience on continuous integration, infrastructure as code and configuration management
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services such as CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy to automate deployment
- Expert knowledge on Blue/Green Deployment for Lambda and Microservices
- Expert Knowledge on Elastic Containers and Elastic Container Services
- Deploy and manage the operation of serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway and serverless stack
- Expert Knowledge in CICD framework, Preferably GitHub Actions and Git for version controlling
- Expert knowledge on infrastructure as code services including terraform, CloudFormation and CDK
- Configure and manage AWS cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools to enable scalable and repeatable deployments
- Implement robust security measures, including identity and access management (IAM), security groups, Bucket policies, ACLs, encryption and compliance with security policies
- Optimize AWS resource utilization and cost by implementing cost-saving strategies such as autoscaling, reserved instances, or spot pricing
- Support Data engineering teams with infrastructure related requests and provide architectural guidance about AWS best practices and efficient deployment strategies
- Manage various database systems such as Redshift, Snowflake and manage Databricks cloud platform ensuring their reliability, performance, and security
- Understanding of best practices for data warehousing, data modeling, and data lakes/lake houses
- Proven ability to deliver high quality, production ready code.
- Expert understanding of the agile software development life cycle
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively interact with a diverse team of people across business and engineering
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, providing on-call support as necessary
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or similar AWS certifications.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAK- Experience with distributed data architectures and big data processing technologies (Spark, EMR, Hadoop, Hive) is a plus

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $121,500.00-195,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
