Job Description
The Senior HR Generalist for US and Canada is responsible for working with the local human resources teams, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership teams in both regions, providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR initiatives and activities. This role will also oversee and manage HR projects to improve HR processes, systems, and initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and experience in implementing HR solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Job Functions

  • Partner and collaborate with functional HR business partners, HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs), to facilitate cross-functional projects, ensure alignment with organization goals and manage relevant people-related items that align to local market practices in support of the business strategy.
  • Partner with Rewards and Compensation CoE to manage the annual compensation review process, including merit increases and bonuses and regular compensation reporting.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the HR function, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and optimize HR service delivery.
  • Review possible opportunities for standardization of processes across the region to deliver on efficiencies
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of US and Canada employment law, human resources regulations, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance to current employment law issues and group guidelines.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to HR policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with local HR team and business leaders to drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention within the region, such as employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Actively develop new, and build on existing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Deliver HR communications across the organization specific to the local business needs (benefits enrollment, engagement programs) with support from internal communications team.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on compensation, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR project management, with a track record of successfully leading complex HR initiatives.
  • Strong excel skills are required
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employment laws and regulations, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced global environment
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of management
  • UKG experience is preferred
  • Experience with Canadian employment law is preferred
