Job Summary:
At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, our Optometrists examine people's eyes to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases, and test patients' visual acuity, depth and color perception, along with their ability to focus and coordinate the eyes. They prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses and provide vision therapy and low-vision rehabilitation. They analyze test results and develop a treatment plan, administer drugs to patients to aid in the diagnosis of vision problems and prescribe drugs to treat some eye diseases. They often provide preoperative and postoperative care to cataract patients who have been referred to one of our Ophthalmologists, as well as to patients who have had laser vision correction or another eye surgery. As part of their job description they diagnose conditions caused by systemic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, referring patients to other specialists within the Kelsey-Seybold family as needed.

Education:
- Graduate of an approved training program in the United States.
License and Certification:
- Licensed in the State of Texas.
- Board Certified and/or Board Eligible.
