Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is hiring an Inpatient Hematologist/Oncologist in Jacksonville, FL. As a physician with Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, you will be heard and respected for your expertise.
This Hematologist Oncologist will join 2 other Hematologist Oncologist in our Oncohospitalist program.
The Oncohospitalist Program
- These Hematologist Oncologists are supported fully with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants around the clock.
- Since adding this program, our 2 Onchospitalists have provided exceptional care for many patients in the Southeast.
- Patient satisfaction and continuity of care have improved significantly.
- In fact, our patients prefer Oncohospitalists so they do not have to explain their full story, and have a physician that understands them.
- The Oncohospitalists do not have to build a patient panel, but will handle hematology/ oncology consults, and care for patients on active chemotherapy.
- There is palliative care support, so they do not attend all hospice meetings.

- We provide leadership opportunities within Cancer Medicine (including roles in programmatic development, research and quality).

Requirements
- Be eligible for or board-certified in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology with a record of clinical and academic achievement.
- Clinical research experience and prior educational activities are preferred.
- MD/DO
- Active or unrestricted medical license in Florida.
