Tufts Medical Center Physicians Organization is currently seeking Physician Assistants and/or Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join our current team in Boston, MA. We are an academic Level III NICU with a fellowship program and 24/7 in-house attending presence. Our multidisciplinary team consists of attendings, fellows, PAs, nursing staff, nutritionist, pharmacist, social work, case management, and several other support staff to ensure that the best possible care is provided. We are seeking energetic team players to join our staff. Experience is not required but is preferred, shifts will be 12 or 24 hours with nights and weekends split equally among group.

How You’ll Transform Patient Care:
Participate in daily rounds with team members to review pertinent history and laboratory information to develop and execute a treatment plan.
Discuss cases with subspecialty consultants and discuss plan of care with team.
Provide health education and updates to parents.
Attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation.
Perform procedures with supervision including but not limited to intubation, central line placement, lab draws, paracentesis, and sedation.
Assist, on an as needed basis, in other areas of inpatient care and consultation services.
Responsible for daily documentation including history and physical, daily progress notes, clinical updates and discharge summary.
Discharge care coordination including follow-up appointment scheduling, discharge equipment if needed, and discharge teaching.
Participate in cutting edge research and QI protocols in the NICU.
Who You Are:
Graduate of an accredited and/or approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Previous pediatric experience preferred
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess neonates.
Interpersonal skills needed for interacting effectively with physicians, staff, patients and their families.
Analytical skills needed for evaluating patients, coordinating treatment plans and so forth.
