Summary:
The position is located in the Clinical Services Department of the Rosebud IHS Service unit, Rosebud, SD. The purpose of the position is twofold: 1) to function as the Director of Outpatient Services; and 2) to serve as a Physician (Family Practice), providing health and medical care services to patients in
outpatient and inpatient settings and providing consultation to outreach clinics and/or via telehealth services.
Duties:
- Provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic health care and medical care services to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Develops and implements short and long-range strategic plans; outlines goals and objectives and manages Outpatient operational budget.
- Performs basic physical assessment using techniques of observation, inspection, auscultation percussion, palpation and diagnostic instruments.
- Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Evaluates work performance of subordinates; advise or counsel employees on work and administrative matters.
