Job Description
- This position is expected to devote approximately 25% time served as the Executive Physician to the employed group
- Approximately 75% of time is devoted to providing direct patient care in an ambulatory setting
- Define, plan, develop, implement, and oversee clinical programs and systems to guide and attain the goals of UM Shore Regional Medical Center and University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS)
- Serves as a dyad partner with Director of Operations with focus on practitioner relations and performance.
- Shares in the responsibilities for leading providers in achieving UM SRMC practice goals
- Establishes clinical practices and performance standards in collaboration with Director of Operations and UM SRMC CMO.
- Lead the vision and evolution of the companys clinical and digital care management offerings as the clinical subject matter expert
- Utilizing market data, consumer research, and patient analytics, spearhead new approaches to effective clinical delivery services, including the introduction of new technology and integrated paths
- Provide physician leadership in the creation of comprehensive research packages, investigating specific clinical areas/offerings and strategic partners of interest to strengthen the offering. Then, execute on cultivating any external partnerships and/or vendor relationships as necessary
- Create and expand client relationships by partnering with the Growth team to uncover client pain points and deliver solutions
- Participate in the strategic planning for UM SRMC clinical and digital care management strategy
- Provide strategic guidance of utilization management and medical policy programs/areas as necessary to support the clinical organization
- Monitor performance of launched clinical programs and support continuous improvement
Office Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
Call is 5 pm-8 am weekdays and 8 am-8 am on weekends for telephonic questions/consults only. Outside vendor reads any studies during off hours.
Qualifications
- Completed US-based residency program in Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology
- Board certification as an MD or DO with a current unrestricted state license to practice medicine
- 5+ years clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship
- 5+ years experience in managed care
- MBA or advanced degree in healthcare-related discipline preferred
- Experience serving as the lead thinker / consulting partner, designing innovative clinical programs and interventions driving value for payers and their members
- Success in building credibility, influence and partnership with key clients
- Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with partners / clients
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with highly cross-functional teammates and influence internal partner groups
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and team management / interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to initiate and maintain cross-team relationships

- Other Compensation (if applicable): Generous sign on Bonus $20-25K or housing allowance of $50K towards the purchase of a home in the first year, generous relocation assistance up to 10K, sign on bonus, and a production bonus
