We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Customer Finance Manager.
Position Summary/Objective: As the Customer Finance Manager ("CFM"), you will assist in achieving the company's goals by providing financial leadership to the Commercial Sales team in Canada. This includes analytical and strategic support for customer growth initiatives, sales and trade spend planning and forecasting, monitoring business and competitive trends, and uncovering actionable insights that influence future priorities and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:- Analytical thought partner to cross-functional leaders including VP of Sales, Director of Sales, Director of Sales Strategy, and Key Account Managers to drive profitable sales growth and optimize trade investments.
- Provide financial and business analysis and guidance to Sales teams on all initiatives with customers, including Go To Market, Joint Business Plan Agreements, trade investments, new products, sales programs, category presentations, and new business opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional leaders to own the Commercial Sales team forecasts and monthly Pace meetings, providing gross revenue insights and strategic direction for the business.
- Lead monthly Trade Reviews with Sales leaders to review trade spend results highlighting key performance drivers and helping to develop actions plans to capture opportunities while mitigating risks.
- Guide the development and implementation of trade policies, processes, and strategies to ensure best practices are maintained for Trade integrity, accuracy, and maintenance all with the goal of achieving annual objectives. Support training for Commercial Sales Team as required.
- Evaluate and develop customer-specific trade spend strategies to enhance promotional effectiveness, including ROI analyses, modeling financial scenarios, and managing the process of requesting incremental funding.
- Finance lead for quarterly sales forecasting and annual planning process for the Commercial Team in Canada, working closely with cross-functional leaders to develop building blocks for success in the short-term while mapping out long-term business strategies to drive future growth.
- Manage sales results tracking in Canada, understanding key performance drivers and uncovering customer and business insights to enhance performance.
- Create executive-level presentations to communicate the net sales performance narrative, providing strategic and tactical recommendations to senior leaders and highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Drive process simplification and improvements within the finance and commercial teams, including leading the implementation of new systems and tools.
Key Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree (business, finance or accounting specialization preferred)
- Accounting designation (CPA) is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of financial analytical and planning experience at a consumer-packaged goods company, including relevant gross sales and trade spend experience
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong excel skills required.
- Ability to lead independently and present to leadership confidently
- Experience uncovering key insights and leveraging them to influence decision making.
- Strong collaboration skills, and analytical thought partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Able to work efficiently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced business environment with ambiguity.
- Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking and time management skills
- Familiarity with Trade Finance automation software
