Job Summary:
Coordinate, manage, and oversee industrial construction projects from start to finish, working closely with customers, design consultants, subcontractors, and engineers to make informed project decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are constructed and documented in accordance with contract documents and good engineering practices.
- Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, budget, and accounting records.
- Perform change order estimating and assist in change order negotiations.
- Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, staffing needs, invoices, and submittals.
- Communicate project status regularly.
- Direct and motivate subcontractors and staff.
- Collaborate with involved parties to resolve problems.
- Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite.
- Deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of related experience in industrial construction projects.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail.
- Experience working with manufacturing customers in various settings.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with civil/site work (concrete, steel, building envelope, MEP, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant in a small-firm culture.
- Tolerance for ambiguity.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position oversees and coordinates the activities of general contractors on the jobsite for assigned projects and is responsible for performance management of the jobsite.
