Job Description

A  Proton Center in Illinois, is seeking a Board Certified Proton Medical Dosimetrist to join new team. Brand new Proton center set to open it's doors first week of March is looking to hire experienced Proton Dosimetrist to perform treatment planning dose distributions and calculations for external beams and brachytherapy, including 3-D planning, IMRT, seed implants and supervision of CT simulations. Maintenance of accurate documentation in the EMR, and facilitate the overall treatment planning.


Requirements

Board Certification in Dosimetry

2 years of experience

 treatment planning experience

Good team working abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledgeable in the areas of radiation physics, and radiation safety

High level critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Works independently, but in collaboration with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist.

Has working knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices.

Has the ability to interpret criteria and develop treatment plans as defined by protocols.

Expertise in the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to develop optimal treatment plans.

Estimated Pay

The facility provides a competitive range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location.


The Pay Range for this position is $120k to $140k, It is possible that this position can be hired outside of this salary range based on experience.
