**Job Opening: 9th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher**
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team as a 9th Grade English Language Arts Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language arts instruction, with the ability to engage and inspire students in the exploration of literature, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
2. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
3. Foster a love for literature and language through the exploration of various genres, authors, and literary techniques.
4. Teach fundamental language arts skills, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary development.
5. Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments, assessments, and projects to support academic growth and development.
6. Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a positive attitude towards learning.
7. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to address academic progress, concerns, and achievements.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field.
2. Valid teaching certification/license in secondary English Language Arts.
3. Previous experience teaching English Language Arts at the high school level is preferred but not required.
4. Strong knowledge of English literature, grammar, and writing conventions.
5. Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
7. Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth in the field of education.
8. Passion for working with adolescents and helping them reach their full potential academically and personally.

Employee salary and Benefits:
Base Salary: Starting at $46,500
Insurance: Full $500 Deductible Single Health and Dental Plan ($9,012 value)
District paid telehealth covering all in household (includes: physical and mental health)
Matching 403B
181 day contract with 12 discretionary days leave per year
