Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Long Term Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Key Responsibilities: Assess and monitor the health conditions of residents, creating personalized care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and caregivers, to deliver holistic care. Educate residents and their families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care. Document resident progress, update care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. Respond to emergencies and provide acute care when necessary. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to long-term care. Promote a respectful and compassionate atmosphere that fosters residents’ dignity and independence. Qualifications: Active RN license. Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of long-term care regulations and best practices.
