06th September, 2024SUMMARY The Branch Manager will direct and supervise the staff and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales and productivity goals.
DUTIES - Collaborates with district and corporate managers to establish reasonable sales and/or retail goals.
- Functions as the Chief Revenue Officer of the Branch, driving revenue growth, managing sales personnel and maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Manages and prioritizes maintenance activities at the branch to maximize equipment up-time and rental availability.
- Oversees all Safety matters, including safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations and drug & alcohol testing.
- Collaborates with district manager to set performance standards. Standards may be based on financial and operational goals and required compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with branch staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives.
- Identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs.
- Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective customers, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff. Participates in community activities to promote the organization and to build goodwill.
- Collaborates with other managers and district managers regarding advertising, marketing, and revenue growth campaigns.

DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT - This position operates at professional construction sites and in professional office environments, requiring the uses of standard office equipment, the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs, computer screens and directions, stamina to maintain attention to details despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner.
- Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment, and other tools within local, state, and federal safety guidelines.
- Will be required to work outside, frequently for extended periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
REQUIREMENTS - A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Associate's degree or equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of successful business management experience in a branch or individual profit center with five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong sales and customer service experience.
