Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Movers. The Mover's primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently move furniture, equipment, and other belongings for our clients. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload items from trucks, ensuring proper handling and secure placement during transport.
- Packing: Assist in packing, wrapping, and securing items to prevent damage during transport.
- Transport: Drive company vehicles to client locations, following the prescribed routes, and unloading items with care and accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of items moved and ensure they match customer inventories.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain moving equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks, ensure efficient moves, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Safety: Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and protect team members, clients, and belongings.
- Time Management: Adhere to schedules and meet deadlines while maintaining the quality of service.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve challenges or unexpected issues during moves.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license (if required).
- Physical fitness and stamina for lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in moving, logistics, or related fields is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to (Specify Weight)).
- Stamina and physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
- Endurance to work in various weather conditions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve exposure to outdoor elements.
- Work hours may vary and include weekends and evenings, depending on business demands.
