    Certification Details
  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • NRP Advanced required for all RNs working in MBU prior to the end of orientation
  • STABLE course completion within 6 months of completing orientation
  • OB ALS online course taken within 6 months of completing L&D training
  • AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
    Job Details
  • This position is responsible for functioning as both a caregiver and care manager, implementing the Nursing Process for patients over a designated time frame, and directing the work of caregivers.
  • The RN reports to the Charge Nurse, Department Director, and other supervisory staff, working closely with patients, physicians, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • An understanding of Samaritan Healthcare's mission, vision, values, and strategy is expected.
  • The RN makes decisions based on sound judgment and understands the purpose and operation of Patient Care Services.
    Job Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Washington State RN Licensure required.
  • Preferred experience as an acute care registered nurse, with a minimum of one year for specialty nursing departments.
  • Ability to perform the primary functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
