    Job Details
  • THIS IS A CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL POSITION – PEDIATRIC ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested
  • Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity
  • Experience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG
  • Patient Population: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care
    Job Requirements
  • CA License
  • First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL)
    Schedule Information
  • 3x12 variable or straight night
  • 4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights – traveler gets off one full weekend every 4-week schedule
  • 13-week contracts
  • Requested Time Off: Max 6 days (Must still get 3 shifts in per week)
  • Must be willing to work Christmas and New Year holiday
    Unit Specific Information
  • *For travelers with PICU experience - 15-bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areas
  • Fingernail Hygiene Policy - employee must sign prior to start.
    Additional Details
  • Valid photo ID is required. Must have front and back copies. Traveler must present on their first day.
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing is required for ALL RNs (except Case Managers)
  • Orientation Information - sent out on the Thursday before a Monday start.
