Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in the Cheektowaga area is searching for a qualified
Assistant Director of Nursing (
ADON) candidate to assist our DON with daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management tasks and uphold high-quality care standards.
- Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds.
- Ensure compliance and promote effective communication among nursing staff.
- Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents.
- Be on call 24/7.
- Oversee and coordinate comprehensive planning for nursing services.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of nursing theory and practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Manage daily staffing processes and infection control measures.
- Adapt work schedule to meet unpredictable needs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a current State RN license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings required.
- Preferred: 2 years of management experience.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in staff education.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory skills.
- Flexibility in hours is necessary.
