Made in the USA, we are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on most products.Job DescriptionThe Powder Coating Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the powder coating department, ensuring the quality and efficiency of the coating process on aluminum parts. This role involves supervising a team of powder coating operators, maintaining equipment, managing workflow, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in powder coating processes, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of quality control.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of the powder coating team, ensuring adherence to schedules, workflows, and production targets.Provide leadership and training to powder coating operators, ensuring they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.Monitor employee performance, providing feedback, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations as needed.Ensure all products are coated according to company specifications and standards.Monitor the powder coating process, including pretreatment, spraying, curing, and final inspection, to ensure consistent quality and finish.Conduct regular quality checks and troubleshoot any coating defects such as uneven finishes, runs, or contamination.Maintain powder coating booths, spray guns, ovens, and other related equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of powder materials and PPE usage.Manage powder coating materials and supplies, including ordering, stocking, and usage tracking.Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the powder coating department.Work with the production team to streamline processes and reduce waste, aiming for higher productivity without compromising quality.Skills and QualificationsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in a powder coating environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.In-depth knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to troubleshoot coating issues and identify root causes of defects.Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and inventory management.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.Lift and carry materials up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.Exposure to fumes, dust, and noise, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required Technical certification in powder coating or related field preferredSalary Range: $70,000 - 98,000Day Shift: Starting at 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday*We will transition to 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday once the facility is operating at full capacity.
