Material Handler - Manassas, VAAdecco is assisting a local company in Manassas, VA, with hiring a Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to the production schedule. Additionally, you will ship and receive materials necessary to meet production goals and requirements, while verifying and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing product movements. The role also includes conducting daily and weekly cycle counts.Responsibilities:•Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying shipping documents (BOL, packing lists, etc.).•Pick orders according to the established FIFO (First In, First Out) method for finished goods.•Assemble and insert products into containers or select pre-assembled containers.•Post weights, shipping charges, and affix postage where necessary.•Affix shipping labels to cartons, identifying shipping information.•Receive raw materials and supplies in accordance with internal SOPs.•Obtain material samples as needed for orders.•Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, recording shortages, and coordinating with shippers to resolve issues.Qualifications:•Ability to regularly lift and move up to fifty pounds.•Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.•Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.•Ability to work in a demanding environment.•Perfect attendance is required.•Must have reliable transportation.•Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.Schedule & Pay:Rotating 12-hour shifts (3 days on, 3 days off) | 6 PM - 6 AMPay: $ 20.90/hr.Adecco offers one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry to contract workers, available after one week of employment.How to Apply: Click Apply Now to be considered for this Material Handler position in Manassas, VA, or any related opportunities with Adecco.Equal Opportunity EmployerMinorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledPay Details: $20.90 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
