Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department by managing administrative tasks, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and data entry in our HRIS. This position oversees employee health and welfare plans and serves as a key liaison between employees and insurance providers. The HR Coordinator is dedicated to delivering exceptional service by assisting employees with inquiries, researching and resolving issues, and fostering effective internal communication.

Essential Duties and Requirements:

  • Provides administrative support for various employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), wellness, workers compensation, and leave administration).
  • Processes documents through payroll, insurance providers, or applicable vendors, to maintain accurate records and deductions.
  • Investigates discrepancies, resolves issues, and provides information in non-routine situations.
  • Provides support with required audits and filings
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Conducts new hire orientations and explains benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Plans health, wellness, and engagement activities (webinars, wellness challenges, employee appreciation events).
  • Develops communication and promotional materials to enhance employee engagement and understanding of health & wellness programs and events.
  • Track and distribute rewards for wellness participation and years of service recognition.
  • Assist in wellness program development and operations (budget tracking, documenting policies and procedures, event planning/coordination, research)
  • Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned processes.
  • Prepares documentation for employee status changes and payroll requests (internal promotions, transfers, new hires, relocations, check requests).
  • Submits company property and system access requests through Policy IQ system, ensuring proper and timely setup for new hires.
  • Updates LinkedIn and Instagram with company events, employee features, and highlights.
  • Assists with and prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Maintains employee records and files documents appropriately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Effective time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Talent for designing and creating communication and promotional materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (ADP preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of benefit plan designs.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience required.
  • One year of human resources experience required.
  • Employee benefits administration experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS professional certifications are a plus.

What to Expect?

Hourly Salary Range: $22-$26/hr: Offer placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, including prior relevant experience, qualifications, and skill set.

  • Based out of HQ in Irvine, CA with a minimum of 4 days in office.
