Specialty: General Anesthesiology (who can do peds and obgyn)
Start Date:(90 days from credentialing) (Med Staff Orientation 8a 1:30 )
Contract Length: Indefinitely
Shift Details: 3 FTEs with rotating night and weekend call
Schedule: 0700 until cases are completed for the day. (As cases are completed and operating rooms running decreases, physicians are released incrementally throughout the day, until assigned call physicians can safely manage the surgical schedule.)
• Call: Physician call assignments are scheduled to provide that each physician is assigned to an equal number of calls for the number of individuals in a particular call pool. (i.e., 7 in the call pool; each physician is assigned 7 calls in a seven-week period) Calls are assigned as equitably as possible, taking into consideration the first call assignments, post-call periods, and scheduled vacation.
Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 2 general anesthesiologists daily per month.
• Patients per day: Varies per site.
• Patient population/age: Adults
• Department description: As cases are completed and operating rooms running decreases, physicians are released incrementally throughout the day, until assigned call physicians can safely manage the surgical schedule.
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: Varies per site.
• Special procedures: Full spectrum of surgical procedures. The only transplant procedures performed are Kidney. (No liver, heart, etc.)
Required: MUST BE WILLING TO SUPERVISE CRNA;s Must be a general anesthesiologist who is able to do Peds and OBGYN
