Job Description: Locum Neurologist - Albany, NY

Position Details:

• Specialty: Neurology
• Location: Albany, NY
• Shift Type: Days (Monday-Friday, 8-hour days)
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On Call Requirements: None
• Practice Setting: Outpatient ALS office (100% outpatient, 100% adult patients)
• Average Patient Load: 6-7 patients per day

Job Responsibilities:

• Outpatient Neurology: Focus on ALS patient care in an outpatient setting
• Patient Care: Provide evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for ALS patients, working independently (no other neurologists present)
• EMR: Use EPIC for patient documentation and record-keeping

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required in Neurology or Palliative Care, Hospice, Physiatry, or Internal Medicine/Critical Care with experience in ALS
• Licensure: Must have an active New York State license
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Experience: Relevant experience with ALS patients is strongly preferred
