- Position Summary
- Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions in Geology.
- Start Date
- Position available on or after August 21, 2024 and ending on or before May 31, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist is safely operating rental vehicles occupied by students according to the State & University policies & regulations
- Assist in completing required travel requests and obtain required authorization prior to trip in a timely manner.
- Assist in routine vehicle checks which will include but are not limited to checking tires, gauges, fuel, etc.
- Assist in reporting any noted problems with the vehicle to the rental company.
- Assist in responsibility of accident reporting procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent has completed the Defensive Driving Course (certification can be obtained once hired).
- Demonstrates a clean DMV record.
Required Qualifications: - Incumbent must be 21 years of age.
- Possesses a valid CA driver license.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $16.00 per hour
