Responsible for assisting nursing staff with basic care, assisting with office procedures and for helping patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a provider, clinic nurse manager, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities
n
Assist Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in gathering medical history information and taking vital signs. n
Documents patient information for medical records including vital signs, height, and weight. n
Assist Physicians and nursing staff members with procedures when necessary. n
Transport patients safely using appropriate equipment. Assist with stocking and cleaning clinic equipment and supplies. n
Follow emergency procedures including CPR when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. n
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
n
High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
n
Successful completion of state-approved certified nursing assistant training program.
n
Required Licensure and Certifications
n
CNA:ND
n
AHA Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS-CPR) – within 30 Days
n
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
n
Candidates must be proficient with computers and computer applications in the healthcare setting.
n
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
