Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Scale Operator based in Redmond, WA and reports directly to the Sales Admin/Scale Supervisor.

Key Targets of the Role
- This position is responsible for running the scales, offer product information, print tickets for customers and deliveries, answer phones, take standard FOB orders, perform general office duties, and provide courteous customer service.
What You Will Get To Do
- Operate the scale by performing the following:
- Verify job assignments previously scheduled and attach scheduled trucks to the appropriate order number
- Notify drivers of the product to be loaded as necessary
- Weigh loaded trucks and print customers tickets for signature
- Maintain radio communication with loader operators and drivers. Acts as the liaison between the drivers, dispatchers and load operators and relay pertinent information as needed
- Answer phones, take orders, promote customer service, and help drop-in customers
- Collect CODs from drivers and FOB (Freight On Board) customers and record the information
- Process credit card sales by typing in required information into credit card machine and record the information onto the COD report
- Assist with inventory by collecting and entering data into the system.
- Process the courier bags daily for shipment to the local administration office
- Prepare and run reports
- inventory reconciling
- Basic Cleaning at scale house
- Perform other duties and assignments as required
Essential Experience and Skills
- Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills: verbal, written, and electronic
- Highly dependable and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability and willingness to work additional hours as needed during peak periods
- Proficient PC skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
