I am currently recruiting for a Buyer/Logistics Coordinator for one of my clients, a manufacturing company in the field of electric transport located in Drummondville.
Job description:
- Issue purchase orders and ensure follow-up until receipt of goods.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to obtain the best terms of cooperation.
- Plan and coordinate the transport of goods in response to after-sales requests.
- Monitor stocks and their availability to avoid shortages.
- Manage any disputes with carriers and suppliers, and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze purchasing and logistics data to identify opportunities for improvement (cost reduction, process optimization).
- Manage non-conformity returns with suppliers in collaboration with the Quality department.
- Any other related tasks to support the Procurement Department
Qualifications required:
- DEC or AEC in purchasing or procurement or relevant experience
- 5 years' experience in procurement in the manufacturing sector
- Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (MRP module and inventory management)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365 suite
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Bilingualism essential (French, English) to communicate with our English-speaking suppliers.
- Knowledge of supplier markets
- Knowledge of logistics management techniques
- Demonstrate autonomy and initiative
- Negotiation skills
- Good analytical and summarizing skills
