**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Financial Director to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Director of the organization and the Group CFO, you will be responsible for managing all financial operations of the company, from strategic planning to the production of financial reports.
**Main Responsibilities**
**FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT**
- Lead and mentor the finance team, including financial accounting, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable management, and inventory management (8 people).
- Ensure compliance of financial statements and periodic reports with IFRS accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets.
- Analyze and explain variances between actual results and budget forecasts.
- Work closely with various managers to understand the reasons for variances and identify corrective actions.
- Supervise, review, and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Present quarterly financial results to the parent company.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal financial control mechanisms and administrative processes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the ERP system.
- Supervise and develop personnel within the department under your responsibility.
- Manage the company’s IT systems in collaboration with the IT resource.
**INVENTORY**
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure effective inventory management.
- Identify and assess financial risks associated with inventory management.
- Implement internal controls to ensure accuracy of inventory reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
**FINANCIAL ANALYSIS**
- Provide recommendations to improve the company's financial performance.
- Develop internal policies and procedures and support various departments to enhance processes and internal controls.
- Analyze the company's financial performance and propose solutions to maintain and develop operational profitability.
- Advise and report to senior management on any critical trends regarding the company's financial performance.
**FINANCIAL STRATEGY**
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish performance indicators and measurement tools to improve management and validate departmental effectiveness.
- Prepare performance reports and recommendations for management.
- Oversee capital investment budget tracking and conduct pre- and post-profitability analyses of these projects.
- Collaborate on the company’s strategic planning with the management committee.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles, ideally in the distribution, transportation, or manufacturing sectors.
- Significant management experience.
- Relevant experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Bilingualism in French and English is essential for collaboration with the parent company located in British Columbia.
