Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in structural design and review, with the ability to stamp engineering projects across various provinces. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage and lead a team of engineers, drafters, and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review structural projects including floating slab and pier foundations, mezzanines, container roof systems, and open web joists.
- Provide professional engineering stamps for Ontario; stamps for other provinces are an asset or must be willing to obtain upon accepting position.
- Oversee and manage the engineering department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.
- Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Advance Steel, and TEKLA for project design and management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department performance and efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, drafters, and designers.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Minimum 3 years experience in Structural Engineering.
- Licensed member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO); stamps for other provinces are an asset. Will need to provide license #.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Advance Steel, and TEKLA.
- Proven experience in designing and reviewing structural projects.
- Strong leadership and management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
