POSITION SUMMARY
Accountable for completion of design tasks, Bill of Material releases, and projects from concept to implementation in production. This includes all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings, and bill of material.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
Coordinates tasks to ensure schedules are met, considering vendor and production lead times.
Creates designs that meet customer specifications and ensures designs are within manufacturing abilities.
Ensures compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations.
Completes or initiates controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations.
Completes technical drawings and release documents under Engineering procedures.
Provides engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments.
Interacts with vendors and customers on design-related issues.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Junior – College Grad (1-5 yrs. experience) / Intermediate - College Grad (5-10 years experience) registered CTTAM / Senior – College Grad (minimum of 10+ years experience) registered w/CTTAM.
Manufacturing & Assembly experience is an asset.
Strong CAD/Unigraphics Drafting skills.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
