Responsibilities:
Research, design and evaluate new technical concepts or emerging technologies.
Validate these concepts in the Innovation laboratory with actual mockups.
Organize and attend design reviews taking into consideration industry regulations, Bombardier Aerospace design practices and requirements.
Work with suppliers on projects related to cabin furniture on the business aircraft.
Collaborate with different internal parties (Operations, Detailed Design, Projects, Programs, Technical, etc.) as well as suppliers for problem solving.
Negotiate interfaces with other systems/structures and formalize the agreement on Interface Control Drawings (ICD).
Be in direct contact with suppliers and be responsible for the delivery of quality engineering documentation that meets Bombardier Standards.
Participate in Design reviews and have a good understanding and interpretation of regulatory and industry requirements.
How to thrive in this role? You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
You have 3-5 years relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions. Cabinet design experience is an asset.
You have experience working with Catia V5/Enovia/VPM NAV (part, assembly, drawing).
You have good knowledge of MS Office.
You are well organized and focused on projects.
You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
You like to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your number one priority.
You can understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
