Location: Milton, ON office, with flexible work from home option (within GTA) at manager’s discretion and based on business needs
Term: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: CAD$100,000-112,000
Benefits: Standard company employment benefits including: extended medical, dental, vision care, disability, life insurance, RRSP - Registered Retirement Savings Plan opt in. Successful candidate may be eligible for occasional discretionary bonuses, incremental raises, incentive compensation.
Vacation: 10 vacation days per annum
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The eDC Development team develops applications for DSV’s proprietary Order Management System – eDC, (core-customer-facing applications). This role brings large applications to the next level, adding new features and modernizing existing ones. The role requires working with other teams and stakeholders located around the globe.
Provide subject matter expertise in DSV’s Order Management information system (electronic Distribution Centre), owning, designing, developing and writing code for system improvements following Agile methodologies.
Act as a technical expert and resource to Super Users, assess systems requirements and processes to ensure they meet company standards and user requirements.
Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
Maintain a clean, scalable codebase and adhere to Test Driven Development (TDD).
Identify automation opportunities and work towards improving issue resolution within SLA.
Manage data governance tools and enhance new features to support data governance functions and improve user experience.
Collaborate with the scrum team to translate business requirements into the product roadmap, EPICs, and sprint backlog.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the members of the team.
Plan deliverables/roadmaps and communicate regular progress status to leadership.
Perform assigned tasks to support DSV in meeting its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment, following all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
Ensure that day-to-day activities embrace sustainability and health and safety, reducing environmental impact and supporting the communities we work in.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• Professional master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years of frontend and backend development experience with leading technologies
