WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The successful candidate will be collaborative, highly motivated, and keen to learn. You will always be on the lookout for ways you and your team can do better. You will participate in the development of our industry leading Due Diligence platform, with your core responsibilities revolving around maintenance and extension of existing code base, improving the existing system with modern tools/practices, development of new products and working with leads to meet business requirements.
You will have a wide and varied role, but your main responsibilities will include:
Support sizing and estimation processes as a part of an Agile team.
Develop, test, and implement new capabilities for the market based on Product roadmaps.
Help guide and support ongoing technology improvement roadmaps.
Clearly and regularly communicate with colleagues.
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and code reviews, encouraging and modelling engineering best practice and good engineering principles.
Pair with and mentor junior Software Developers.
Contribute to building a highly collaborative, high-performing engineering team.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED?
Recent, extensive experience within a C# ASP.NET / .NET CORE MVC environment, in a senior or leadership position with coaching/mentoring responsibilities.
Relational database knowledge (SQL, Postgres, Oracle).
Conceptual grasp of SOLID design principles, with an understanding of good architecture and general design principles. You will know ‘What good looks like’!
Entity Framework.
Relevant Education (Degree/NVQ or similar in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics etc.)
Angular and/or AngularJS.
Coding for web services (REST, SOAP, gRPC).
AWS or other cloud computing platforms ideal; experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker etc would be more beneficial than specific cloud platform experience.
