Job Description
American Tall is a thriving e-commerce brand, dedicated to producing world-class quality clothing for tall men and women, up to 7’1. Founded by a father and son duo in 2015, the business has grown to a level that seemed almost unimaginable just a few years ago and is now a leading brand in the tall community. The growth can be attributed to the excellent leadership team and family values that drive the business – respect, passion, support, and empowerment.
We believe the best ideas come from a diverse group of people. This is a special opportunity to join an innovative business with tremendous upside, and a work culture built on the foundation of respect, inclusiveness, and continued learning.
Your Role: Head of Finance
As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in guiding the financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of American Tall. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, you will oversee all aspects of our financial operations while serving as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the leadership team.
We are seeking a finance leader with deep expertise in accounting and financial management, coupled with a genuine passion for business and a strong understanding of e-commerce business strategy. In this pivotal role, you will help shape the company’s direction and drive growth initiatives by leveraging data and analytics to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be proactive and detail-oriented, and possess a strong analytical mindset. Your ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and provide clear, actionable insights will be crucial in guiding strategic decisions and ensuring sustainable growth and long-term profitability.

Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the department.
Technology and Innovation: Drive the implementation of advanced financial technologies and systems, including ERP solutions, to support the company’s growth and efficiency. Comfort with digital financial systems, including ERP and QuickBooks, is essential.
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate financial directives across the organization and work closely with cross-departmental teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and alignment on financial strategies.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary financial spokesperson for the company, engaging with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders. Ensure transparent and accurate financial reporting.
Insurance and Legal Oversight: Oversee insurance policies, manage transfer pricing arrangements, and lead the administration of trademark applications with external counsel.
