Title: VP of Product Management, Digital Banking
Job ID: BB2091821124
TEEMA is partnered with an award-winning FinTech company in the search for their next VP of Product Management, Digital Banking.
If these are questions that get you excited and you think you can make an impact, read on:
What's the impact of crypto on the Canadian banking system?
Where does mobile banking go next?
How do we compete or partner (or both) with emerging FinTechs?
How will AI/ ML impact our products, what's hyperbole and what's real?
Do users really want to interact with intelligent bots?
How are the user expectations of digital banking and interaction changing?
This role will shape the future of Digital Banking. You will define and build our strategic roadmap and vision for digital banking products. In addition, this role will lead product management, creating the guard rails and best practices while providing leadership and mentoring to our Product Managers and Product Owners, as they envision the WHY and the WHAT for our designers, developers, and technical teams to build. We are looking for someone who is as excited to delve deep into the analytics as they are to inspire others to the vision they create.
What you'll do:
Craft a vision for the next generation of digital banking products while working in close partnership with the executive team to ensure alignment.
Work collaboratively with partners such as sales, client development, and client delivery to develop and launch winning go-to-market strategies and deliver client success.
Help transform the organizational culture from one focused on product to being focused on client centricity.
Identify disruptors, threats, and partners in the digital banking space, as you go deep to understand the data to evaluate current and future technologies, and the application to banking.
Grow, hire, train, and lead an incredible group of talented Product Managers and Product Owners while establishing the overall direction and strategic initiatives for Product Management.
Challenge the status quo, ask the hard questions, and ask 'why not' by creating an R&D culture, where new ideas are rapidly prototyped and tested as MVPs.
Evangelize our products and services while acting as the ultimate user advocate.
Partner and collaborate with Canadian financial leaders, understanding where we can add value, and helping define our product vision.
Evolve and mature our Product Management practices, tooling, approach, and methods.
Be active in the Product Management communities, both online and in-person, speaking, hosting, and participating at events to build our talent brand and pipeline.
Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Champion Design Thinking, Agile & DevOps culture, mindset, and processes.
What you need to have:
10+ years of experience in product management.
5+ years of senior leadership experience.
MBA would be seen as an asset, but so would start-up experience.
Experience making hard trade-offs and decisions while running multiple, competing priorities concurrently.
Deep belief in customer-centric product design, with a focus on both customer empathy and data-driven product decisions.
Exceptional reputation as a bold thought leader, yet you're regarded as humble and egoless.
Passionate for delivering products that bring real value.
Bring entrepreneurial attitude and drive while shipping enterprise quality and scale products.
Proven ability to manage and lead change and introduce process improvement.
