Pay Rate: $19.83 Differential for 2nd shift.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for cleaning and filling all hand, foot, barrel and knife dip stations while production is running. 2nd shift: Rotating (4 days on/2 days off) 4:30pm - 3:00am (or until done)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Monitor the chemical concentrations in the hand, foot, barrel, and knife dip stations a minimum of 3 times per shift and change as necessary
  • Clean the foot dip mats a minimum of 3 times per shift
  • Must be able to measure and titrate chemicals based on the written SSOP
  • Able to document all critical chemical concentrations and corrective action
  • Clean cull room and cull bins throughout the shift
  • Must be able to handle chemicals in a safe manner
  • Must be able to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor
Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
  • SKILLS: Good oral communication skills required.
  • ADDITIONAL: Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Required to work independently and with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures. Must be flexible and able to work in other assigned positions and/or areas of the production department as needed.
PHYSIC AL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees F. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs unassisted up to ¾ of the workday, and 6 lbs overhead as job demands. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work overtime as needed. Some weekends are required. No travel.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired, but not required. Willing to train.
  • EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION: HS Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
