The area is heated and has some natural ventilation. The temperature will fluctuate to some degree depending on location within the department.Dust and dirt is controlled by daily cleaning of the work area. Some of the materials handled may be soiled; these are disposed of following established procedures.Work is completed independently but in cooperation with whole department. There is no public contact.The noise volume is moderately high throughout the day depending on the amount of activity, equipment in operation and radio operation.Material handling equipment (forklift, hand truck, movable containers/racks) and trucks may be operated in or near work area.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe work place is steady requiring consistently lifting and/or carrying of items up to 10 lbs. with occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
