Clinical duties:

The ARD will have 0.2 FTE protected time for their administrative duties, which is the equivalent of 25 clinical hours reduction. The ARD will work a minimum of 2 clinical shifts at both of the northeast region locations each month. The remainder of their clinical hours can be worked at the discretion of the ARD (for example, all in one location, or also divided up among locations).

Administrative duties:

(The ARD’s clinical schedule should be made to avoid conflicts with these events as much as possible):

  • Serve as the RMD during times when the RMD is out of town or unavailable
  • Attend key EMSL meetings including the EM Leadership Council, the EMSL Clinical Leadership Meeting, and the GWV/GSWB report-out meetings

  • Serve as a liaison between EM clinical operations and EM resident/medical student education
  • Participate in northeast region medical meetings and committees which may include:
  • Sepsis committee (northeast and systemwide) (monthly)
  • GWV/GSWB emergency management committees (monthly)
  • Patient experience (monthly)
  • ED informatics (monthly)
  • Pediatric emergency medicine huddles (weekly)
  • Inpatient quality steering committee (monthly)
