The Reconditioning Tech is responsible for providing customers with quality reconditioning services in a timely and efficient manner. The Reconditioning Tech reconditions used vehicles by physically cleaning every required facet of the vehicle in preparing it for auction. The Reconditioning Tech exhibits superior customer service at all times.
PAY: Up to $20/hr average (Pay per piece)
SCHEDULE: M-F 7-3:30PM (35-40hrs/week)
1. Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times.
2. Always exhibit 'hands on' and direct approach with customers.
3. Alignment of vehicles for auction block in the proper order.
4. Administer minor adjustments to vehicles to ensure operation (boosting, filling gas tank, lock-outs, etc.
5. Washing the exterior of auction vehicles to include the tires, wheel rims and covers as well as the application of wheel gloss.
6. Removal of all debris from the auction vehicles.
7. Washing and cleaning the interior of the auction vehicles to include the washing of windows inside and out, cleaning ashtrays and glove box and the wipe down of all interior surfaces and dress.
8. Full detailing of vehicles to include steam clean or pressure wash engine and engine compartment, glaze components, blacken wheel wells, wax and buff exterior, position spare tire and tools and remove all decals.
9. Inventory, order and stock all necessary supplies.
10. Accurate completion of all paperwork in a timely manner.
11. Work well independently as well as a team player
12. Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
13. Clean and maintain workspace and equipment
14. Performs other duties as necessary
Requirements
General qualifications and requirements
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
- An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
- Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
