Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for successfully delivering projects of medium to high complexity to support the Spectrum Mobile customer channel. Proficient with tools and technologies relevant to the testing effort. Works as individual contributor through test planning, test execution and defect resolution processes. Applies excellent problem-solving and critical analysis skills to troubleshoot and resolve critical problems.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently to delivery Mobile testing projects through regular test cycles.
The testing schedule will inluce a combination of agile release train (ART) and standard testing cycles, requiring an ability to multi-task as appropriate.
Actively participate in the process to create and run test cases, as well as drive existing defects to resolution in the allotted test cycle time.
Provide input for and monitor test reports detailing activities in a given test cycle such as test run, blocking issues, outstanding defects, and overall rating/recommendation of software under test.
Demonstrate of quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and overall test health.
Apply quality standards, procedures, methodologies and best testing practices.
Understand the business purpose of Spectrum Mobile projects being introduced.
Actively participate in Sprint Planning and Retrospectives where required.
Provide recommendations to team leader on fitness of Mobile projects for production deployment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Expertise:
Technical
Demonstrated knowledge of tools or technologies referenced in job summary.
Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise with respect to mobile testing and specifically the Spectrum Mobile offering
Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, methodologies and existing system capabilities
Proficiency in HP Test Suite or other industry leading Testing Tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Understanding of scaled agile principles an advantage.
Experience using test planning and execution tools (HP-ALM, JIRA or other)
Prior experience with mobile industry or communications industry is a plus
Experience with performing tests for complex customer facing web portals is preferred.

Creative solving of technical problems to translate technical requirements into test plans
Drive test effort to conclusion and synthesize results in a fast paced environment
Demostrate ability to work independently while keeping team leadership informed of progress, issues and risks.
Strong communication skills, including the fluency to read, write and speak the English language while communicating with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, via phone, and/or by written medium in a clear and concise manner
Ability to use personal computer and software applications
Ability to work in a cross-functional team of internal and external resources located onshore and offshore
Ability to perform duties with a focus on deadlines and deliverables
Ability to grasp and learn new technologies quickly and adapt to shifting priorities

Demonstrated interest in understanding and applying new testing processes that support a "Shift Left" approach.

Required Skills : MUST have Defect triaging, reporting, tracking, and some defect management experience for NATIVE MOBILE APPLICATIONS 10/10 communication MUST be comfortable working in a "startup" type environment, limited process in place, virtually no structure or documentation in place Must be able to adapt to an everchanging environment iot/oss/bss are HUGE pluses
