Elevate Textiles, a global provider of textile products and solutions, is looking to fill the position of Dispatcher to support its private fleet.The position is based out of the company's offices in Greensboro, NC.The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating efficient logistics and communications between customers and drivers to fulfill transportation orders across Elevate's business units and customers.Also assists with other responsibilities including to coordinate and track transportation claims; assist plants with carrier load assignment; and serve as the backup for other Fleet staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate scheduling of transportation between Elevate operations and specific vendors and customers, to include coordination with outside LTL as needed.
- Provide freight quotations for Plants, Customer Service team and others using Kuebix and LTL Select.
- Monitor Transportation scheduling issues and work with carriers to resolve.
- Confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged goods.
- Maintain a Transportation Claims file.
- Assist in gathering and submitting lane data for North American shipments.
- Perform additional job-related duties and complete special projects as assigned.
Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Operations or traffic experience, 2+ years Dispatch experience preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of computer aided quotation systems.
- Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
