Summary:
The Forklift Driver will be responsible for the accurate distribution of product to and from the warehouse by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production material and supplies; staging finished product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and safely drive conventional electric fork truck in a potentially hazardous environment ( wet , sloped floors , heavy pedestrian traffic)
- The issue of raw materials to operations while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracy
- Return raw materials from operations to the warehouse while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracy
- Prompt receiving (unloading) of raw materials while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracy
- Prompt shipping (loading) of finished goods while accurately completing all required documentation and maintaining inventory and slot accuracy
- Complete paperwork, including but not limited to, safety, schedule list and rework
- Daily safety and maintenance check for vehicle
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Key Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the food industry preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- 1 to 3 months experience in forklift operation
- Ability to lift, push or pull items weighing up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to both dry and frozen warehouse conditions
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, such as bending, lifting, standing, squatting, climbing, pulling, pushing and walking
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
