WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will partner cross functionally with Merchandising, Consumer Planning, Merchandising Planning, Concept Planners and Marketing/ Brand teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Accessories Planner to establish clear end to end bottom's up merchandise plans partnering with Merchandising to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer centric offerings. The lead planner will create pre-season style color plans that support the goals of Nike and consumer field of play and managing through to in- season optimization. Additionally, this role will be performing Merchandise Financial Planning responsibilities for Accessories. That work entails:
  • Leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season
  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning
  • Demonstrated experience in create merchandise financial plans
  • Strong ability to influence and ability to design compelling communication grounded in data
  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a style in the marketplace as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottom up perspective
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes
  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3-5 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

In this role you'll establish clear merchandise plans that tell a story for the season and helps merchandising to create a line grounded in profitability and consumer centric offering. This will include collaborating with merchandising and business units to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial plans and product opportunities.
You will:
  • Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings. You'll proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross-functional team members on a weekly basis. You'll collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge. In addition, you'll participate in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results.
  • Develop high level plans to hit seasonal targets across Nike's planning horizon
  • Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin and inventory at the style color level (leveraging analytics), develop strategies to meet CFoP financial goals and own open to buy bottom's up forecasts to inform manufacturing decisions through to in season optimization
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Geo and Global to optimize business health throughout the entirety of the product life cycle inclusive of responsive offering
  • Recap and analyze the business against forecast weekly and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a monthly basis
  • Product forecasting and in season optimization by analyzing data, & providing actionable insights
  • Report on forecast variance weekly with action plans and risks & opportunities
  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities
  • In partnership with marketplace teams actively manage product; close-out process and aging inventory to maximize consumer demand and marketplace objectives
