    Job Details
  • The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, promotes the safety of the patient during surgery, provides assistance to the surgeon during surgery, cares for the patient during surgery and cares for the instruments and supplies used in surgery.
  • The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team.
  • The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Looking for strong cardiac, thoracic and transplant experience - including heart and lung). Ortho trauma, Eye, ENT, Neuro experience is helpful.
  • Detail of this experience must be included in resume.
  • Do not submit profiles that do not have this experience.
  • Successfully completed a surgical technologist program or two years' experience in Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of completion of program.
    Schedule Information
  • 36 hr/week, days/evenings, 12 hour shifts, 0615 - 1900 weekday rotation.
  • Weekday call once a week and weekend call once every 5th weekend.
    Additional Details
  • Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.
  • Floating - Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
  • During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
