As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.nnLet’s Talk about the RolennThe primary responsibility of the Steam/Gas Mechanic is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. Turbine Mechanics work closely with Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve these goals. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.nnHow You Will Make a DifferencennDismantle, assemble, move and align, machinery and equipment using: hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipmentnnRead blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work proceduresnnResponsible for shipping and receiving all major pieces for T&DC, plus all shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment and suppliesnnPerform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenchesnnPerform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipmentnnDetermine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices as needed to complete assigned projectsnnLoad, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needednnRead blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work proceduresnnInstall machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishmentsnnAbility and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.nnSpecial Role Requirements:nnMinimum of one (1) years’ experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbinesnnValid Driver’s LicensennPreferred: Degree/Associate Degree in Technical Field or Gas Turbine SystemsnnWilling to work 12 hours on Day or Night Shift.nn100% travel is requirednnWhat’s in it For You (Compensation and Benefits)nnThe hourly wage range for this position is $25.00.
