Position Summary This position requires a dependable and efficient CDL truck driver. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.nnEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnFully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehiclenPick up and safely transport goods to intended destinationnEnsure contents are properly secured in truck/flatbed to prevent damage/injurynObtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveriesnAssist in mapping driving routesnStay on predetermined route to ensure timely transport and deliverynCommunicate with dispatch as needednConfirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest documentnPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripnCheck weather conditions and road reports before departurenAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleannMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)nNotify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounterednFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesnMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsnTrack and report working hoursnAdhere to company rules and regulationsnObey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditionsnMake safety a priority at all timesnAlert, focused, and detailed-orientednPhysically and mentally fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a timennEducation/TrainingnnHigh school diploma or equivalent preferrednValid commercial driver's license (CDL); class B requiredn2 + years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferrednClean driving record with no moving violationnSkilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehiclesnProficient using GPS and other routing systemsnnQualification/RequirementnnMust show proof of your legal right to work in the United StatesnThis position requires US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base accessnMust be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)nMust be able to successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sitesnAll candidates must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening, physical test,and a background check before employment begins.Failure to complete any of these steps will result in disqualificationnValid State of Hawaii drivers license in good standing, class B requirednCandidates must have access to reliable transportation to get to work and other job sites on time for the start of shiftnMust be flexible in work hoursnnPacific Shipyards International, LLC.
