This is a full-time, direct placement role at Kemco of Burlington, Inc. Troubleshoot and repair existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems and refrigeration systems. Maintain and secure spare parts inventory, recommend purchasing of maintenance equipment and supplies as required to improve processes and efficiencies
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Operate Company vehicle
- Service customers as directed by Dispatcher/Supervision
- Maintain service vehicle inventory
- Process/close-out service orders/call slips
- Interact and communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Provide required hand tools for HVAC Service Technician Position
- Periodic weekend and holiday emergency on-call duty
Requirements
Required:
- Possess Valid Driver's License
- Able to demonstrate Mechanical Aptitude
- Knowledgeable of electrical and refrigeration principles
- Proficient with service tools and testing devices
- Full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration)
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate with customers
- Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.
- Ability to acquire low voltage license within 2 years
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Ability to layout and install refrigeration piping
- Ability to layout and install low voltage wiring
- 5-7 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology
- Low voltage License
