Learn more about Gorman at: a Maintenance Technician, you will manage:
- Satisfying service requests such as light electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC/PTAC maintenance, etc.
- Preparing apartments for turn-over, may include painting, appliance repair/replacement, plumbing, lock changes, etc.
- Manage curb appeal by inspecting grounds and buildings.
- Assist with snow removal on driveways, sidewalks, and outside of office.
- Complete on-call emergency maintenance.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications: - Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing a variety of items such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, standard appliances and pool maintenance (if applicable).
- Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
- Good safety habits.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
