Job Title: MEP CoordinatornnJob DescriptionnnWe are seeking an MEP Coordinator with strong computer skills and familiarity with Switchgears and UPS systems as they relate to Data Centers. This role is based in Northern VA and requires openness to travel. The ideal candidate will have experience in Data Centers and the Electrical field. As an MEP Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with customers during the installation of electrical and cooling equipment and troubleshooting mechanical and control issues. You will represent the client onsite with a roughly 65/35 technical/coordination split, and may travel to other sites to assist with advanced mechanical and control situations.nnResponsibilitiesnnIntegrate systems to communicate with the owner's control systemnnTroubleshoot communication issues within systemsnnDiagnose program or equipment/hardware issuesnnUpdate obsolete control systems to new platformsnnEnsure HVAC equipment communicates with the owner's control systemnnOversee commissioning of chillers, taking into account site-specific characteristicsnnFacilitate communication among project stakeholdersnnVerify that systems meet project requirements through quality assurance processesnnCoordinate project schedules with business units and schedulersnnManage large project sites to ensure timely completionnnAct as the single point of contact for HVAC project statusnnManage project status and information in formal briefings and weekly callsnnAttend regular project meetings to address action items and project schedulesnnUnderstand and enforce site safety protocols, including LOTO and PPEnnEssential SkillsnnExperience with Data CentersnnCommissioning and testing of UPS/ATS systemsnnAbility to travel 100%nnStrong computer skillsnnTroubleshooting skillsnnKnowledge of Procore and OSHA regulationsnnMechanical and construction management experiencennAdditional Skills & QualificationsnnEngineering degree (mechanical and/or electrical)nnProfessional Engineer (PE) License, Certified HVAC Designer (CHD), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), EPA 608 Certificationnn10+ years working with advanced mechanical systemsnnHVAC interface experiencennExperience retrofitting control systemsnnUnderstanding of Energy Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)nnConfiguration of communication cardsnn2+ years’ experience managing large, high-profile projectsnnAbility to read blueprints and associated building informationnnStrong understanding of business objectives and project managementnnExcellent communication and follow-through skillsnnStrategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesnnProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)nnWillingness to travel in North AmericannProfessional representation and self-motivationnnWork EnvironmentnnThis position is onsite at a Data Center in Northern VA. Due to the traveling schedule of most employees, this role includes a 3-day weekend once a month.
